Tasmania the Island of Never Ending Beauty.

Tasmania is an beautiful stunning lush island belonging to the state of Australia. It is located 240 km to the south of the Australian mainland, separated from it by Bass Strait. Tasmania is well known for its amazing landscape and seascape scenery, its unique rich history, rich lush rainforest, beaches it just has endless things to do and see.

The Tasman Arch is just one millions amazing seascapes that you will see in Tasmania its a naturally occurring arch, an enlarged cave running from the coast and extending inland. The roof at the landward end of the tunnel has collapsed, but the walls of the cave are too high and the hole too large for a blowhole to form. The tunnel formed from wave action over millions of years with sand and rock particles hitting the rock face, fragmenting it and forcing air into cracks, causing additional fragmentation. The arch ceiling is about 52m above sea level.

The Painted Cliffs, Maria Island which are famous for their beautiful patterned sandstone rocks and there colors are the results of groundwater percolating which has occurred over millions of years ago. The Painted Cliffs are fragile and change continually by waves. Recently one of the cliff tops has collapsed at the end of the cliffs. Sea spray also has an influence forming crystals of salt which affects that the rocks weather in those honeycomb patterns.

The Bicheno Blowhole is another place of interest we visited here for thousands of years, the ocean has battered the granite to carve out a sea cave underneath the coast. The water, battering the inside of the cave with increasing force, found a weak spot in the ceiling to blow a hole through the granite. Now water rushes into the cave, hits the walls, swells with increasing pressure and it all erupt out of the hole in the ceiling. This creates a geyser effect for those standing on top of the sea cave.

Then we did Wineglass Bay Lookout and Beach, a steep walk to the lookout, followed by a long descent to the beach, on a rocky track with rough bush steps we were beach walking for a few hours. Tasmania is not a place you can get bored with with so much beauty to see your always in a adrenaline state waiting for the next rush.
