Experience on Monserrate hill in Bogota city [ENG/SPAN]

This time I want to share my experience visiting the Monserrate hill one of the main tourist attractions of the city of Bogota.

When we arrived to the city of Bogota the first thing that a local recommended us was that we had to visit Monserrate, when I made my itinerary I had already googled it but this kind person explained us better some things that we didn't understand about how to get there, so on the first day of exploring the city of Bogota we went to the famous Monserrate hill.

We asked for an uber and this left us at the entrance where there is a line to buy tickets, there are three ways to climb this hill, by funicular, cable car or if you have very but very good physical condition you can walk up, that day was running the funicular up and down the cable car.

I must say that I underestimated the cold of Bogota because once up the hill I felt too cold, and I got the commonly called “altitude sickness” you have to take into account that the Monserrate hill has an altitude of 3152 meters at sea level and the weather is very bipolar because one moment it is sunny and in 5 minutes it rains and strong breeze and then the sun comes out again.

From the viewpoint you can see an incredible view of the entire city of Bogota, also is the Basilica “Sanctuary of the Fallen Lord of Monserrate”.

The Sacred Figure “El Señor Caido de Monserrate” houses several mysteries, focusing on the beliefs, rituals and miracles that many people attribute to him. Among these stories is that of calming droughts, preventing earthquakes, calming violence, blessing and healing the sick, among other miracles.

Over the years, this figure has become the patron saint of the inhabitants of Bogota, who daily climb the hill seeking peace and tranquility for their problems, praying with devotion or thanking for the favors received.

Undoubtedly my favorite part of this experience was to use the means of transportation, the funicular and the cable car, I find it fun and you can appreciate a beautiful view.

Hola querida comunidad.
En esta ocasion les quiero compartir mi experiencia visitando el cerro Monserrate uno de los principales atractivos turisticos de la ciudad de Bogota.
Al llegar a la ciudad de Bogotá lo primero que nos recomendó una local fue que teníamos que visitar Monserrate, cuando hice mi itinerario ya lo había googleado pero esta amable persona nos explicó mejor algunas cosas que no entendíamos sobre cómo movilizarnos hasta allá, así que en el primer dia de explorar la ciudad de Bogota fuimos a el famoso cerro Monserrate
Pedimos un uber y este nos dejo en la entrada donde hay una fila para comprar los tickets, hay tres formas de subir este cerro, en funicular, teleférico o si tienes muy pero muy buena condición fisica puedes subirlo caminando, ese día estaba funcionando el funicular de subida y para bajar el teleférico.
Debo decir que subestime el frío de Bogota pues una vez arriba en el cerro senti demasiado frío, y me dio el comunmente llamado "mal de altura" hay que tener en cuenta que el cerro Monserrate tiene una altitud de 3152 metros a nivel del mar y el clima es muy bipolar pues en un momento esta soleado y en 5 minutos cae lluvia y fuerte brisa y luego vuelve a salir el sol.
Desde el mirador se puede observar una increíble vista de toda la ciudad de Bogota, ademas se encuentra la Basilica "Santuario del Señor caído de Monserrate"
La Figura Sagrada "El Señor Caido de Monserrate" alberga varios misterios, centrándose en las creencias, rituales y milagros que muchas personas le atribuyen. Entre estos relatos se encuentra el de aplacar sequías, evitar temblores, calmar la violencia, bendecir y curar enfermos, entre otros milagros.
Con el pasar de los años, esta figura se ha convertido en el patrono de los habitantes de Bogotá, quienes diariamente ascienden al cerro buscando la paz y el sosiego para sus problemas, orando con devoción o agradeciendo los favores recibidos.
Sin duda mi parte favorita de esta experiencia fue utilizar los medios de transporte, el funicular y el teleferico, me parece divertido y se puede apreciar una hermosa vista.
