Fun Fcking Facts On Being A Government Employee
Finally escaped that Government hellhole.
Here in the Philippines, (well prolly outside of the country as well), working in the Government is probably the best job you can have. Awesome tenure, bonuses given quarterly, either by the National or Local Government, and other freebie shit.
And boy, did I choose the wrong path.
Yeah yeah, they got all the good stuff till you get old and wrinkly, but bro, the work environment is not the worst thing, not even the pay,
It's the fucking C O R R U P T I O N
The people, the office, the whole local Government itself is corrupt. I was only a Job Order (J.O.) and when you're at this lowest point of government level rank, you don't get to have the privileges that regular employees have, aka Plantilla. In the previous government office I work, I don't get to have my yearly contribution in Pag-Ibig, Philhealth, SSS, GSIS etc., (only my Filipino brethren knows this),which a normal office "should" have since you're not only working your ass off for the present, but also for the future. So yeah, no shits like that. The worst one? My salary gets deducted almost 30% of what I should earn each month.
Okay, let me outline all the shit I've been through this hellhole.
- My salary went from $178 (PHP10k) USD to $231 USD (PHP13k). BUT. Fucking BUT. That $231 USD gets deducted almost 20-30%. They said it got deducted because I got a lot of absences and late.
- WELL DUH. Most of the employees working in our office, even the fucking head, is fucking late. Our time in is 8am. They get in the office almost 10am??? Some even go after 12pm??? And others would just go absent their ass off for such a fucking petty excuse??? AND THEY STILL GET THEIR SALARY IN FULL. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. So duh, why should I wake my ass so early in the morning when others don't do the same?
Oh and worst? Some even work outside of the fucking city, doing unrelated shit from our office, but still gets fucking paid in full. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK.
- Since I'm a Job Order, and I work in the local government, I was not exempted on the delayed monthly salary. Everytime our six month contract ends, we get to have 1-2 months NO SALARY. I LITERALLY HAVE TO STARVE MY ASS OFF FOR TWO WHOLE FUCKING MONTHS. And imagine, I got bills to pay every month. Where do I get money to pay for it? CREDIT CARD. I even try to borrow money from my friends just to pay the bills. Fucking ironic that you need to make a debt to pay a debt. Fuck. But there was nothing else that I can do. I got no other choice.
- The management sucks. Our fucking head, and his fucking underlings, our office's admin staff, doesn't give a shit on our needs. They don't give a fuck if we'd half-dead working for the fucking office.
- Our fucking head is the most corrupt motherfucker I have ever known. The money that was intended for the senior citizens mostly went to his and his fucking underlings pockets. Damn devil in action.
Sigh .....
But all that shit are behind me now. I'm on a new chapter of my career life. I don't plan on working here on such a long time because I plan to go abroad. (Prolly escape the hellhole even further, LOL). I do love my job right now. And I don't give a shit if people think its not a high paying overly acclaimed career. Its still a fucking job. I still get paid.
Even though I don't hear it that directly, I know the people around me judges me how shitty my current career is. Considering I went from a government employee to a customer service representative agent.
But the fuck I care.
I'm happy. My mental shit is more stable than ever. I still have shitty problems at my home and other shitty problems I already got, but at least the workplace doesn't fuel that shitty stuff even more.
I got so damn busy nowadays because of how my shift sched is. I'm in a graveyard shift so after work, when I get home, I sleep the day away to replenish my energy for another night's work. (Stressed Yarn?) I promise to be as active as I can from my beloved Peakd Community. Thanks for supporting me still guys.

I'd say that's an upgrade. People can say what they want but at the end of the day, your current job will pay the bills and more. Plus, there are lots opportunities for promotion and career growth.

I totally agree with you on this one. I've never meant to downgrade the CSR position. I'm even thankful I got to be in a CSR position. The company I am in right now is 150 times better than the previous ones. As long as I'm happy, I'm good.
TRUEST! I tend to be more active at night than during the day, though! HAHA I couldn't sleep shit at night before. I've only slept a maximum of 4hrs before. Now, I get to sleep for 9–10 hours. HAHAHA night shift is better. hahahahaha

Seems like a familiar story in my country, government employee salaries dropped so much it was like a massive redundancy, fuck the government and their fucking corrupt system! looks the same everywhere
Never thought the same fucked up system could also be seen in your country. 🙁 The small salary oftentimes been deducted for some unreasonable stuff that's why I only receive like, what, half of I usually earn? shit. Non-regular government employees are also undervalued so... fuck em all.
