Artistic Makeup: Toucan

HELLO HIVE!

El Tucán es una especie de ave proveniente de países del Sur de América. Me entusiasmé a realizar un maquillaje que pudiese representar al Tucán, desde su hermosura al contrastar el negro de su plumaje con algunos colores brillantes, además de su pico grande, lo hacen un ave peculiar.

Nuestra naturaleza atraviesa peligros que hacen latente la idea de desaparición de algunas especies, bien sea por la destrucción de su hábitat o por su captura para el comercio. Así que no olvides cuidar y respetar a los seres animales que comparten este planeta con nosotros.

The Toucan is a kind of bird from South American countries. I was excited to make a make-up that could represent the Toucan. Its beauty by contrasting the black of its plumage with some bright colors, in addition to its large beak, make it a peculiar bird.

Our nature goes through dangers that make latent the idea of disappearance of some species, either by the destruction of their habitat or by their capture for trade. So don't forget to take care and respect the animals that share this planet with us.

Proceso | Process

Para iniciar el maquillaje se hidrata la piel y se aplica base de maquillaje compacta. Seguidamente, me enfoqué en los ojos, aplicándole base de maquillaje líquida, luego desde el lagrimal hasta la mitad de la cuenca apliqué maquillaje en crema amarillo y sellé con sombra amarilla, y en el párpado superior apliqué maquillaje en crema negro, sellando con un poco de sombra y difuminando el negro con el amarillo de la cuenca hasta el final del ojo.

To start the makeup I moisturized the skin and applied compact foundation. Next, I focused on the eyes, applying liquid foundation, then from the tear trough to the middle of the eye socket I applied yellow cream foundation and sealed with yellow shadow, and on the upper eyelid I applied black cream foundation, sealing with a little shadow and blending the black with the yellow from the eye socket to the end of the eye.

Para complementar la mirada realicé un delineado en blanco para el párpado superior, y con sombra verde delineé la línea de pestañas inferior uniendo con el amarillo del lagrimal. Y apliqué máscara de pestañas.

To complement the look I made a white eyeliner for the upper eyelid, and with green shadow I outlined the lower lash line joining with the yellow of the eyelid. And I applied mascara.

Ahora, con lápiz delineador dibujé en cada mejillas el diseño de Tucán. Empecé a rellenar desde el pico a ambos ejemplares con maquillaje en crema amarillo, naranja y negro. Seguido, con un pincel fino definí el cuerpo con maquillaje en crema negro y empecé a rellenar.

Now with eyeliner pencil I drew on each cheek the Toucan design. I started to fill in from the beak to both cheeks with yellow, orange and black cream make-up. Then, with a fine brush I defined the body with black cream foundation and started to fill in.

Para darle acabado final al diseño, pinté con verde oscuro y claro unas ramitas dónde están posados los Tucanes. Las patitas las hice con maquillaje en crema marrón y blanco. Y realicé algunas hojas dispersas entre las dos aves. Por último maquillé los labios con un labial marrón oscuro y sobre este en la parte interna de los labios apliqué un labial nude para luego difuminar ambos tonos.

To give the final touch to the design, I painted with dark and light green some twigs where the Toucans are perched. The little legs were made with brown and white cream makeup. And I made some leaves scattered between the two birds. Finally I made up the lips with a dark brown lipstick and on the inner part of the lips I applied a nude lipstick and then blended both tones.
