Hive made me a better person.

In just a little time here, I've learned a great deal. It's just 5months in the hive and I feel so blessed to be a part of this beautiful family.

How has hive made me a better person?

Discipline
Hive taught me the value of discipline which includes;

No plagiarism: This means I need to constantly task my brain to publish original content, it calls for discipline to fulfill this.

Punctuality

Meeting up with deadlines for prompts:

If deadlines weren't attached to the contest, what's the fun in it? I must confess that hive taught me the value of punctuality, and this in real life has helped me grow beyond my imagination, I am one of the few people to meet up with tasks in the office because I know the importance of being on time.
I achieve this in real life by setting reminders and schedules for myself in order not to misplace my priority.

Creativity and diligence
Hive taught me that to excel one must exert his/herself vigorously this implies being creative, putting in extra effort, and being diligent.
Imagine attempting a contest and not being creative. You sure know the result.

Being among the top 5 at times in the few contest I have attempted has given me the boost to want to think outside the box because I am not the only one attempting the question if I'm not creative enough I could be outnumbered.

This has made me a better person as I usually think outside the box, and I show creativity in my lifestyle. I have learned to be a wild and critical thinker and this has also helped me in decision-making.

Reciprocity
One good turn deserves another, if you want to be seen or heard, you should make a constant effort to show up.

This means: publishing regularly and leaving nice comments on other people's blogs too.

This has taught me in real life, the golden rule "Do unto others what you want others to do unto you" - The Holy Bible.

If I want others to reach out to me, I should reach out to them too. Living this way has broadened my horizon of networking, and meeting great-minded people but in the hive and real life, isn't that a beautiful lesson?

Staying humble
I am fond of asking questions because I love clarity, hive taught me that asking questions not to default is better than doing the wrong thing and getting punished for it.
On that note, even in real life when I'm being told to do something, I've mastered the art of asking meaningful questions to avoid doing the wrong thing, but funny enough many people shy away from this, they feel it makes them look stupid, but for a fact, I know humility doesn't cost much.

Obedience
Following strictly each communities rules is a way of life in the hive.
In a community where cross-post is banned, if you default, you'll be muted.

This has taught me the importance of paying attention to instructions and details no matter how small I may think it is.

In my office, if a client says "I want a mini skirt, I do not do otherwise, it is their outfit so I must obey, that has reduced clashes with clients.

Not giving up
One cannot be a winner all the time, so when I'm not mentioned as a winner in a contest, I see the need to try harder and not give up, I learned this through the hive.

Industriousness
Hive is not for the faint-hearted ones, you must be industrious.
You must source each picture and quote you choose to use.
You must also use pictures that are in harmony with your article.

This has taught me to be industrious even in real life, going to extra lengths to do things the right way.

Gratitude

I see many people on the hive showing gratitude for comments left on their blogs.
A simple thanks for visiting my blog goes a long way.

I've learned to be grateful for the smallest things in life and any act of kindness people show me since I'm not entitled to any.

This has made me enjoy my relationship with others both here in the hive and in real life.
Saying thank you is now a way of life for me.

As 2022 is ending today, I am ending it with all of this self-improvement and I feel excited.

I hope to be more observant to learn consciously and subconsciously while being here.
Thanks to all of you who have made this experience enjoyable.
One way or the other I learned all these through you.

There's no greater joy than seeing yourself being better than you were yesterday.

I must confess, I've grown beyond my imagination.
My writing skills have improved too as I meet people who leave constructive criticism on my blog.

I have been enlightened too as I've read various articles from different continents and cultures and different points of view.
If the hive isn't the best place to be, I wonder where else it would be.

I wish you all the best come 2023, more knowledge, joy, and good health.

Love and light to this great family I found.
