THE SPIRIT OF GIVING

The reason for this season is Christ Jesus and it showed how much God love the world that he gave us his begotten son to redeem us from the shackles of sin.

Love goes with Giving

Both of them are like 5 and 6, inseparable.

It's beats my imagination when some people who professes love to each other finds it hard to give to the one they claimed to love.

Anyway, giving shouldn't be only to the people you love and family but also should be extended to other peoples most especially in this holiday.

Today is boxing day, everyone is excited as they unwrapped the gifts given to them by their loved ones.

In my country we don't actually celebrate boxing day as much as others do. What we do mostly here is to buy bags of rice and other food stuffs like onions, tin tomatoes, groundnut oil and share to the people around us especially those that cannot afford them.

There is this huge blessing that comes with giving. It's like a spirit that is tied in giving. Nature always have a way of paying you back if not immediately but sometimes in the future.

A friend of mine was given a bag of rice in the office where he worked. The uber ride he entered on his way home when they got talking opened up to him about how he is hustling hard to provide for his family this holiday.

My friend told him to wait behind when he alighted from the uber in his home. He went straight inside his house and got a knife and a bag. He opened the bag of rice and divided the rice into two and gave to the uber man.

The uber man fall down thanking my friend for his generosity. He went back home very happy.

The next day, my friend's old time paddy paid him a surprise visit with a bag of rice, turkey and five huge tubers of yam.

My friend started laughing seeing the gifts. Surely the universe gat her eyes on us all.
