HUSHED!

I have to work on Saturdays this month and I really felt bad because I love spending my weekned with my children. However I was assured that it's on rotational basis that by January I would have all my weekned to flex with my family.

Yippee!

Just this past Saturday, i was about leaving the office when I received a call from my neibour.
Why are you not in the estate end of the year party?

I was too occupied and busy to even know that there was a party inside the estate that day. I assured her that I would be there shortly. Luckily for me there wasn't much traffic on the road as expected.

The party was still bubbling and alive when I entered the estate. I spent an hour there before heading home to rest because I was very exhausted.

My children's caregiver was acting weird when I came back and upon enquiry she disclosed to me that a man that stays close to our apartment have been harassing her sexually for a while now.

He even threatened to deal with her if she ever tell anyone about it.

I froze

The said man was a youngman of about 35 while my caregiver is just 18 years old. There was no way in my wildest imagination would I ever have imagined that this man would stoop that low.

Reminds me of the saying Never to trust anyone.

I plunged into action immediately because it is my duty to protect the girl staying under my roof. The man on th7e other hand was just walking in and out of the compound and I suspected he must have known that his evil schemes have been brought to my knowledge. He greeted me but I ignored him.

My plan was to call the estate security men to get him arrested and as I was about placing that call, he walked up to me and started apologising to me. Kneeling down, he blamed the devil for his behaviour and kept begging me not to draw any further attention.

He want me to hide his shameful act and evil mind

I said No

In order to be safe from any form of attack from him I have to raise my voice a little so that it can draw attention. His friends all gathered round me begging me to drop the case that he won't ever try it again.

Long story short, the estate security later came and got him arrested.
Good riddance to bad rubbish

I thank God for giving my children's caregiver the voice to speak out, whonwould have known the trauma and abuse the poor girl would have passed through if he had succeeded in hushing her up.
