It was a painful day for Fabian as his wife gave up after delivering a set of twins..all boys. Fabian, a young father with no skills in child rearing was left with the option did engaging a nanny or remarry.

His lean resources may not permit him to marry again; not after expending huge sums of money in the burial of his deceased wife. He chose the earlier option.

Soon the nanny arrived. His job was made much easier as he will now concentrate in making money for the family while the nanny nurtures the little ones. It paid off.

Hello @alovely088. I see you've undertaken the 100-woerd ZapFic story. How nice. It was a shame that Fabian's wife didn't survive delivery of the couple's twins. I know that was devastating for a single father to undertake their care. Perhaps the grandparents can also help if they are available. That's usually what happens when tragedy strikes. Fabian made the right choice for his situation at the time.

Yes dear, I saw yours and decided to join, that is, the 100 word Zapfic story. It's really a shame Fabian lost the wife but he made the right decision to engage a nanny to help him nurture the little boys. Thanks for your kind words too.

A sad story, like many of those we heard in the ancient era, with the arrival of modernity these unfortunate situations have been avoided.
