RE: ANOTHER CURRENCY FOR LATIN AMERICA
You are viewing a single comment's thread:
Interestingly, it looks like there may be a new currency in South America. Brazilian and Argentinian finance ministers are reported to be meeting in Buenos Aires next week to map out the creation of a new common currency, provisionally named the "sur".
I suspect it's part of a desire to de-dollarise their economies, particularly with Brazil being in BRICS and both of them seeing how frequently the United States has been using sanctions on anyone they don't like.
But I'm pleased to see that South America (and particularly Venezuela) seem to be leading the way in the adoption of HBD as a peer-to-peer and customer to small business payment network. It's small steps and a very long way to go, but I see it as a really positive thing.
As we know Hive or HBD are currencies with no state agenda. It is for anyone in need of a currency that can fulfill a need.
Liquidity is another one.
Glad you are making it happen.
