A natural quiet rest place

Hello everyone in the Outdoors and more community, by @galenkp's amazing challenge. It was a beautiful sunny day therefore I would like to invite you to a short trip in the forest. Nature can also have surprises, and all this for free, why I say that. We wanted to hike only after a short walk without any signs and without special guide we came across this pond in the middle of a part of the forest in Boswil, Switzerland.

Afterwards on a board we found out the name of the pond is Feldenmoos Pond, it has three ponds in just about 600 meters above sea level. Interesting is that here in the past was peat extracted, and this is how it looks today after the restoration and desilting process it is a natural quite relaxation place.

What is peat and for what has been used I have also had to inform me first : peat is a special type of soil composed from disintegrated plant fragments, about from the middle of the 18th century was used for heating or to drive steam engines. Today it is considered a good substrate for growing vegetables, however in Switzerland peat extraction is not allowed, the selling of peat on the market is allowed.

For fishermen is also a paradise as you can see in picture it has a variety of fish to fishing. egli, carp, pike and more.
