Hallo,

es war heute ein sehr schönes und sonniges Wintertag. Im München gab es das Faschingsumzug, der von der Damischen Ritter organisiert wird. Meine Frau und mein Sohn waren noch nie bei einem Faschingsumzug, und so ergab sich die perfekte Gelegenheiten ins Stadtzentrum zu fahren.

It was a very nice and sunny winter day today. In Munich there was the carnival procession, which is organized by the Damische Ritter. My wife and son have never been to a carnival parade, so it was the perfect opportunity to go downtown.

Es waren ungefähr 30000 Menschen und Beginn des Faschingsumzugs war um 13.13 Uhr. Es war wieder narrisch auf den Straßen.


There were about 30,000 people and the carnival parade started at 13:13. It was crazy again on the streets.

Es waren über 65 Gruppen mit über 2500 Teilnehmer, die beim Isartor gestartet sind.
There were over 65 groups with over 2500 participants who started at the Isartor.

Es gab auch ein paar sozialpolitische Themen, wie zum Beispiel dieses Wagen, was direkt die Kirche anspricht. Wenn man zahlt, ist man seinen Sünden los.
There were also some socio-political issues, such as this wagon, which speaks directly to the church. If you pay, you are rid of your sins.

Oder das Gefährt der CSU, die sich in Gallier verkleidet haben, mit dem Thema Asterix und Obelix gegen die Römer, wo die Römer die SPD und die Grünen*innen sein sollten.

Angeblich sind die Römer (SPD) nicht gestartet, den ihr Gefährt soll voll verschimmelt gewesen. Na ja, die Ironie.
Or the vehicle of the CSU, disguised in Gauls, with the theme of Asterix and Obelix against the Romans, where the Romans should be the SPD and the Greens(with all pronouns).

Allegedly, the Romans (SPD) did not start because their vehicle is said to have been completely moldy. Well, the irony.

Es gab noch Themen, wie Katar, Putin, oder Boris Becker, aber die meisten waren eher bunt geschmückt und die Leute waren froh, einige von Alkohol, aber das gehört sich zu der Zeit.
There were still topics like Qatar, Putin, or Boris Becker, but most of them were rather colorfully decorated and people were happy to have some of the alcohol, but that was the norm at the time.

Es gab auch ein paar Autos, von Rolls-Royce, bis zu Porsche-Traktoren.

Uns hat es Spaß gemacht und mein Sohn war froh wegen der Bonbons, die er aufsammeln konnte, auch wenn er nichts Süßes mag. Nächstes Jahr wollen wir wieder kommen.
There were also a few cars, from Rolls-Royce to Porsche tractors.

We enjoyed it and my son was happy because of the candies he was able to pick up even though he doesn't like sweets. We want to come back next year.
