Walk in Treviso, province of Treviso - Discovering Italy with alequandro!

I was in Treviso a couple of weeks ago and I decided to take an exploratory walk to better discover this fascinating Venetian city. The sun was shining high in the sky, and the air was fresh and slightly crisp, typical of autumn days.

Sono stato a Treviso un paio di settimane fa e ho deciso di fare una passeggiata esplorativa per scoprire meglio questa affascinante città veneta. Il sole splendeva alto nel cielo, e l'aria era fresca e leggermente frizzante, tipica delle giornate autunnali.

My adventure began near the train station. As soon as I left, I found myself in front of a small canal that runs through the city. The water was calm, and the colorful old houses were reflected in it, creating a lovely view. I decided to follow the course of the canal and see where it would take me.

La mia avventura è iniziata nei pressi della stazione ferroviaria. Appena uscito, mi sono trovato davanti a un piccolo canale che attraversa la città. L'acqua era calma, e le vecchie case colorate si specchiavano in essa, creando una vista incantevole. Ho deciso di seguire il corso del canale e vedere dove mi avrebbe portato.

As I walked along the canal, I noticed bicycles gliding silently along well-maintained bike paths. Treviso is famous for being a very bike-friendly city, and I immediately noticed how easy it was to get around by bike or on foot. The streets were lined with well-kept trees and plants, which gave a very welcoming atmosphere.

Man mano che camminavo lungo il canale, ho notato le biciclette che scorrevano silenziosamente su piste ciclabili ben tenute. Treviso è famosa per essere una città molto bike-friendly, e ho subito notato quanto fosse facile muoversi in bicicletta o a piedi. Le strade erano fiancheggiate da alberi e piante ben curate, che davano un'atmosfera molto accogliente.

Continuing my walk, I arrived at a crowded square, Piazza dei Signori. This square is the heart of the historic center of Treviso and is home to several historic buildings, including the Palazzo dei Trecento and the Palazzo Pretorio. I stopped for a moment to admire the architecture and enjoy the lively atmosphere. There were many clubs and restaurants around the square, and I made a mental note to return later for a lunch break.

Continuando la mia passeggiata, sono arrivato in una piazza affollata, Piazza dei Signori. Questa piazza è il cuore del centro storico di Treviso e ospita diversi edifici storici, tra cui il Palazzo dei Trecento e il Palazzo Pretorio. Mi sono fermato per un momento per ammirare l'architettura e godermi l'atmosfera vivace. C'erano molti locali e ristoranti intorno alla piazza, e ho fatto una nota mentale di tornarci più tardi per una pausa pranzo.

After exploring the square, I continued towards the Sile River, which runs through the city. Along the banks of the river, I noticed a series of restored mills that took me back in time. It was fascinating to think about how these structures had been used centuries ago to grind grain and produce energy. Today they have been restored and some of them house cafes and restaurants overlooking the river.

Dopo aver esplorato la piazza, ho proseguito verso il fiume Sile, che attraversa la città. Lungo le rive del fiume, ho notato una serie di mulini restaurati che mi hanno riportato indietro nel tempo. Era affascinante pensare a come queste strutture fossero state utilizzate secoli fa per macinare grano e produrre energia. Oggi sono stati restaurati e alcuni di essi ospitano caffè e ristoranti affacciati sul fiume.

I continued my exploration through the narrow streets of the historic center of Treviso. I discovered small artisan shops, hidden cafes and ancient churches. Every corner of the city seemed to tell a different story.

My exploratory walk in Treviso ended with a dinner in a local restaurant, where I was able to taste typical dishes of Venetian cuisine, such as tiramisu. As I enjoyed the delicious food, I reflected on the beauty of this city, with its rich history and fascinating mix of culture and nature. It had been a memorable day, and I promised myself to return to Treviso to discover even more in the future.

La mia passeggiata esplorativa a Treviso si è conclusa con una cena in un ristorante locale, dove ho potuto assaporare piatti tipici della cucina veneta, come il tiramisù. Mentre gustavo il cibo delizioso, ho riflettuto sulla bellezza di questa città, con la sua storia ricca e il suo mix affascinante di cultura e natura. Era stata una giornata memorabile, e ho promesso a me stesso di tornare a Treviso per scoprire ancora di più in futuro.
