Walk in Solagna along the Brenta River, Vicenza - Discovering Italy with alequandro!

It was supposed to be a Sunday of fun with friends, but due to a mix-up, I had to rethink my plans so after having lunch at home, I didn't feel like wasting such a sunny afternoon.
I left for Solagna in the province of Vicenza to follow a stretch of path that runs along the Brenta river.

Twenty minutes by car and I had arrived.

Doveva essere una domenica di svago in compagnia, ma a causa di un disguido, ho dovuto ripensare i miei piani così dopo aver pranzato a casa, non me la sentivo di buttare un pomeriggio così soleggiato.
Sono partito per Solagna in provincia di Vicenza per percorrere un tratto di sentiero che costeggia il fiume Brenta.

Venti minuti di auto ed ero arrivato.

Short shorts and short sleeves, it feels like summer!
The thermometer read 28 degrees centigrade!

I crossed paths with many people, I wasn't the only one who chose that path.

Ho incrociato molte persone, non ero stato l'unico ad aver scelto quel sentiero.

In this period the wisteria blooms are spectacular, it is a plant that I would like to buy to make a bonsai.
I think I will do it sooner or later!

In questo periodo le fioriture di glicine sono spettacolari, è una pianta che mi piacerebbe acquistare per farne un bonsai.
Credo che prima o poi lo farò!

Following the path you go along the Brenta river on one side, and on the other side you pass through small towns of a few dozen inhabitants.

Percorrendo il sentiero si costeggia da una parte il fiume Brenta, dall'altra parte si attraversano piccoli centri abitati di poche decine di abitanti.

The chirping of birds could be heard coming from the river and in some places a few ducks could be seen.

Si sentivano provenire dal fiume i cinguettii degli uccelli e in qualche punto si poteva scorgere qualche anatra.

Sunny stretches and stretches in the shade of large trees allowed us to take short breaks to contemplate the view of the river and the peaks of the Monte Grappa massif behind.

Tratti soleggiati e tratti all'ombra di grandi alberi permettevano di fare piccole pause per contemplare la vista del fiume e ditro delle cime del massiccio del Monte Grappa.

The path was downhill at some point and almost reached the water level. Excellent opportunities to contemplate the patterns and reflections created by the water flows.

Il sentiero in qualche punto era in discesa e arrivava quasi a raggiungere il livello dell'acqua. Ottime occasioni per contemplare i disegni e i riflessi creati dai flussi dell'acqua.

At a certain point I crossed the river and it was the opportunity to take some shots from the center of the river.

Ad un certo punto ho attraversato il fiume ed è stata l'occasione per fare qualche scatto dal centro del fiume.

A spectacular view, the wonderful water of a beautiful color between blue and turquoise.

Una vista spettacolare, l'acqua stupenda di un colore bellissimo tra l'azzurro e il turchese.

Once on the other bank of the river there was an ancient Roman style bridge from the 15th century where a mill stood.

Giunto sull'altra riva del fiume c'era un antico ponte in stile romano del XV secolo dove sorgeva un mulino.

Then I found a path and was able to go down to the water. A beautiful maple caught my attention that had beautiful radial roots, as I would like to have them in my bonsai!

Poi ho trovato un sentiero e sono riuscito a scendere verso l'acqua. Ha attirato la mia attenzione un bell'acero che aveva delle radici a raggiera bellissime, come mi piacerebbe averle nei miei bonsai!

Once I reached a nice place near the water I found a little paradise... it was great!

Raggiunto un bel posto vicino all'acqua ho trovato un piccolo paradiso... si stava benissimo!

When I got home in the evening I felt regenerated and reinvigorated, so I indulged that positive mood and made a couple of really good pizzas.

The perfect way to end the weekend!

La sera tornato a casa mi sentivo rigenerato e rinvigorito, così ho assecondato quel mood positivo e ho fatto un paio di pizze davvero buone.
