Excursion to Parco dell’Amicizia, Tezze sul Brenta, Province of Vicenza - Discovering Italy with alequandro!

As you know I often go to Bassano del Grappa, a beautiful medieval town famous above all for the Ponte degli Alpini designed by Andrea Palladio.
Thanks to the bridge it is possible to pass from one bank to the other of the Brenta River, a natural resource that thanks to the creation of pedestrian nature trails it is possible to walk along the banks of the river and therefore enjoy the fluvial nature that characterizes it.

The river is very long so I decided to explore a stretch that was new to me. I decided to go and visit the Tezze sul Brenta stretch in the province of Vicenza.

Less than half an hour by car and I had arrived at the parking lot.

Come sapete vado spesso a Bassano del Grappa una bellissima cittadina medievale famosa soprattuto per il Ponte degli Alpini progettato da Andrea Palladio.
Grazie al ponte è possibile transitare da una sponda all'alta del Fiume Brenta, una risorsa naturale che grazie alla realizzazione di percorsi naturalistici pedonali è possibile percorrere le sponde del fiume e quindi godere della natura fluviale che lo caratterizza.

Il fiume è molto lungo così ho deciso di esplorare un tratto per me nuovo. Ho deciso di andare a visitare il tratto di Tezze sul Brenta in provincia di Vicenza.

Meno di mezzora di auto ed ero arrivato al parcheggio.

To be honest it wasn't really the parking, I later found out that you can park about 500 meters further near the water.
For me it wasn't a problem, I like walking and therefore observing the landscape.

Ad essere sincero non era proprio il parcheggio, ho scoperto successivamente che è possibile parcheggiare circa 500 metri pià avanti vicino all'acqua.
Per me non era un problema, mi piace camminare e quindi osservare il paesaggio.

The weather wasn't great, it had rained the night before and it was muddy.

Il meteo non era bellissimo, aveva piovuto la notte prima ed era fangoso.

Once past this water channel you reach a small parking lot.

Superato questo canale d'acqua si giunge ad un piccolo parcheggio.

From the parking lot you can take the path: Path in the heart of the Brenta, however I decided to take another path that leads to a large park.

Dal parcheggio si può prendere il sentiero: Percorso nel cuore della Brenta, io tuttavia ho deciso di prendere un altro sentiero che porta ad un grande parco.

The path is surrounded by vegetation and then suddenly opens up into an open space.

Il sentiero è avvolto dalla vegetazione poi ad un tratto si apre verso uno spazio aperto.

The more you proceed, the more you are surprised by the size of the space that maintains its natural appearance but at the same time is well designed and maintained.

There are benches, paths, a pond, a support building for any events and then wooden sculptures, educational panels and much more!

Più si procede e più si rimane sorpresi dall'ampiezza dello spazio che mantiene il suo aspetto naturale ma allo stesso tempo risulta ben progettato e mantenuto.

Ci sono panchine, percorsi, uno stagno , un edificio d'appoggio per eventuali eventi e poi sculture di legno, pannelli didattici e molto altro!

One part that I really liked was the view towards the riverbed with the vertical outline of a distant church bell tower in the background.

Una parte che mi è molto piaciuta è il panorama verso il greto del fiume con sullo sfondo la sagoma verticale di un lontano campanile di una chiesa.

The sun was setting and the light was beautiful.
I really enjoyed this exploration! I will definitely go back in the next few days to see how the landscape has changed!
