It's an excursion that I've already done a few times but it's always nice to do it again because, with the changing of the seasons, it's always a new experience.
I parked the car at the San Giovanni hotel restaurant and took the path that goes right behind the building...

Near the restaurant, continuing along the path, you notice some houses, which are unused in this cold period.

While I was walking I was surprised to see nature still green, usually in this period I photograph the foliage, instead there is the grass of an almost spring green! In fact it wasn't cold, it's really true that the climate is changing.

I met just a couple of couples who, like me, wanted to take a nice walk in the mountains in the warmth of the sun.

Luckily, some stretches had the shades of autumn...
ITA
I was finally reaching the treeless area, I was ready to enjoy the warmth of the sun.
ITA
How strange to see all the green grass in this period!
ITA
Look at the beautiful landscape, the day was wonderful, you could see as far as the eye could see.
ITA
How nice it is to walk in this place, without man-made noise. I could only hear my footsteps on the gravel and my breathing.
ITA
A few days it snowed in this area, I think he will come back to take pictures!
ITA
Usually in this period I have never seen grazing cows, but evidently with these temperatures they have thought of leaving them still up here.
ITA
At a certain point, to go back to the San Giovanni hotel, you walk along the paved road which, being hardly busy at all, is still pleasant to walk.
ITA
The roadside beech trees with the highest branches illuminated by the light of the setting sun are beautiful to see.
ITA
The oblique light created very long shadows.
ITA
La luce radente creava delle ombre lunghissime.
I had now arrived and to underline it there was a majestic beech tree that dominates the space next to the hotel car park. Who knows how many things that beech has seen. I'm sure he also saw the horrors of WW1.
ITA
