A second family, The Big Bang Theory

I've always believed that a good movie gives you much more than what its name bears. Characters and the story have the ability to affect your thoughts, feelings, and altogether, you might find yourself in another world in a blink of an eye.
TV series are no different; in fact their impression on us can be way more because they involve viewers in a long-time period. Through a good tv show, you grow with each character and watch their developing process individually. "The Big Bang Theory", American sitcom keyed in 2007 and rose to be one of the most impressive sitcoms of TV history. Mostly referred as Big Bang, reached to millions of viewers over just five beginning seasons and got to be the longest sitcom ever made, by 12 seasons over 12 years, from 2007 to its last air on 2019. Big Bang portraited a different atmosphere than other sitcoms, by focusing on how unique plain and homely life and relationships can be, and how grievously we underestimat them. It's the story of two scientists named "Leonard" and "Sheldon" who are roommates and live in an apartment in Pasadena, California. Sheldon is Leonard are both physicists in CALTECH and obviously, very smart. In a warm day afternoon while returning from work, they notice that a new neighbour has come to the building. A young girl named "Penny" who lives right across them. And that's when everything begins...

As two intelligent guys who have dedicated their entire lives to science and work, Leonard and Sheldon lack in social relationships and love life; so do their other two friends "Howard" and "Rajesh" who also work in CALTECH. Howard as an engineer who lives with his mom and is desperate to have a girlfriend, and Raj, an Indian astrophysicist who lives alone. Alongside Penny, they are the 5 main characters in The Big Bang Theory. From the very first moment (as you have probably seen or will see) Leonard falls in love with Penny. But Penny unlike her new neighbours, is warm and chatty and has no interest in science what so ever. Penny is a young waitress who dreams of being an actress. Against all odds, this little group of folks find each other suitable as friends, and so it begins their life long friendship.
As rock barricades a creek and so its water flow moves the rock, Penny, Leonard and Sheldon effect each other in the exact same way! The super smart Sheldon and talented Leonard become cosier and Penny discovers new edges of life and finds her inner world bigger than what it was.
Oh snap! Didn't I tell you that Raj can't talk to women?? Yeah, as weird as it might sound, Raj has a disorder called selective mutism and so he loses the ability to talk outloud while a woman is present, unless of course, when he's drunk!! Now imagine the dialogues a smart astrophysicist can have with a head full of whisky!

Just as Raj, each character in Big Bang has their own sign and figure, manners to be known with, just as each if us in real life. Watching Big Bang for the first time and watching and rewatching it again and again I realised how close this characters are to my own in a lot of aspects. I am not a gifted scientist nor an American, but I found this connection with this group of people much deeper than jobs, gender, nationality or science itself. How Penny, Howard, Leonard and other guys spend their days and have concerns over tiny things like what food they're going to eat or what temperature the room must be in, to much bigger and life making decisions.
The life of celebrities, models, successful men and women and happy families, is well-known by people and has been showed over and over in countless tv shows and even sitcoms. What makes Big Bang different in sideline is that you come to know a living much similar to yours and those around you, from daily basics to falling in love, from going to a book store to travelling to North Pole, from ordering a Thai food to Nobel Prizes and thousands of big and small details that make a perfect puzzle. The puzzle of youth. The puzzle of life. If you have watched Big Bang, then you understand what I'm trying to say word by word; and if you haven't watched it yet, don't hesitate to do so. Drop your phone and don't waste a minute! Leonard and Penny, Howard and Raj, and Sheldon, are going to be the best friends you never meet, but you can find around wherever in this world you are! But be careful, Big Bang is addictive! I, as for one, have lost count!

Going on, two additional characters come to Big Bang family, "Bernadette", a cute girl from a crowded family who studies microbiology. Howard, who to that day was trying to show off as a womaniser, falls in love with her and finally settles down. A while after, "Sheldon" who was impossible to find a match for, exhausts his friends so Howard and Raj decide to do the impossible and find a romantic partner for Sheldon! The result, is Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler, super smart and brilliant neurobiologist and true "match" for Dr. Sheldon Cooper!
The family who formed by three, Sheldon, Leonard and Penny, is now on seven legs. Stories that will happen after the marriage of Howard and Bernadette, after the relationship of Leonard and Penny, and Amy and Sheldon, is a whole different journey that takes this sitcom to a next level. A short advice, if you've got people like these seven pals in your life, hold them tight and never let go!

Now and here after years of enjoying and living with The Big Bang Theory, perhaps it is my only chance - however small - to thank Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady for creating this amazing TV show, and of course its brilliant actors and actresses, and the rest of its cast & crew.
Johnny Galecki (Leonard), Kaley Cuoco (Penny), Jim Parsons (Sheldon), Simon Helberg (Howard), Kunal Nayyar (Rajesh), Melissa Rauch (Bernadette), and Mayim Bialik (Amy).
It is interesting to know that Mayim Bialik as her role Amy, is real life neurobiologist; exactly unlike Jim Parsons that against his role as a super smart scientist, has no heart interest to science and complex stuff like that! It's also super crazy to know that Johnny Galecki & Kaley Cuoco had a two year relationship in real life, while in fact no one from the crew knew at the time! They also had a love relationship in show; they didn't announce their real relationship until after they broke up! However, both of them have remained good friends to this very day!
Like always, please share your own experience with this sitcom and tell your opinion on characters; I'd be happy to hear them!
