Walking along the old street

Hello my friends.

I'm not a wizard or a magician, I'm just learning to be one.

Wednesday is a day for walking.

I found this piano during my walk around the city today. We have frosty weather, the temperature is about -20 every day with slight deviations. But I take walks every evening after work in the office.
This time I went along the old street, which is now called Derendyaeva. What was the pre-revolutionary name, I do not know. To do this, I need to raise historical articles.

My walk started from the Theater Square. I planned to walk along the streets around this square, but my legs took me further and further along the old street, where there are few people and old houses are standing. On the same street there is a Catholic church, which now hosts concerts of organic music.

Our drama theater is preparing for the New Year holidays. But our city Administration apparently decided this year not to decorate the central square, where there is always a Christmas tree and some other decorations. This year, Russians were deprived of a holiday.

The idea of walking along the old street came to me after seeing these mountains of snow on the square. It will be fun for the children, probably for Christmas. Or maybe it's still the city administration collecting snow to put snow figures? I'll find out soon enough. In the meantime, I'm going for a walk.

The square is left behind, and I'm going forward. This is not quite a traditional street view, but rather a wall. Graffiti - it surprised me a lot.

Full moon over the church. I noticed that during the Full Moon it is always cold in winter, but it is not always hot in summer.

2 old houses. Why do they have the same number? 61.
People still live in the wooden house, but all the windows are boarded up in the stone one. Do they want to demolish it or restore it?

I lied! This house is also wooden, it just has a low basement brick floor.

And there are already new tall houses nearby. I haven't been here for a long time. I've never seen this house before.

Because of the frost and still high humidity, all the trees are white. Frost has been hanging on the branches of trees for a week.

On the way back after church, I turned into a small square. I was interested in this circle, and it turned out to be an angel. And then I saw the piano.

By the way, I have already returned to the central square. I love to visit this cafe "NY coffee". The cafe has a wonderful atmosphere that sets you up for relaxation, delicious coffee and snacks.

Retail establishments, cafes, shops began to put up Christmas trees and improve their buildings and premises. People need a holiday!

Hi there, @alechi. 😃 Your pictures are so neat and cool. They reflect the mood of the night and on a full moon. You have so much snow over there! I love to take a walk in the night too because it's calming and there wouldn't be a crowd to bump into. Haha.

Derendyaeva street is a mix of both old structures and modern ones. I hope you enjoyed your walk. Thanks for sharing and have a nice time. 😊😊

your doing great not letting the cold stop you getting out for walks, I cannot say the same

I would imagine that piano may get more use when it is warmer

Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)

You probably didn't notice that this is a mock-up, and not a real piano? ;)
