Pearly-banded Nomia (Nomia strigata)

I noticed a beautiful bee perched on the curry tree in my yard a while ago. I do not doubt that it is Nomia strigata, commonly known as the pearly-banded nomia, a species of Nomia bee in the family Halictidae. I think the little guy got lost or maybe it was there since it loved the fragrant curry leaves. The pearly-banded nomia is not a solitary one, I have observed a small colony of them at one time. Their behavior is similar to sweat bees which tend to be sociable. I captured this little guy with great pleasure; the bee was less aggressive than I had expected.
