Monomad: Huntsman Spider

Spiders are known to be among the most intelligent hunters. They always surprise their target prey. Most of the prey are sent straight to the gate of death in a single bite.

This spider is known as the huntsman spider (Sparassidae sp.). Three times the size of most jumping spiders. It has many small eyes but sharp vision, especially when sniffing out prey from a range.

These photos were taken this morning in a grassy area near a reservoir in my town.

I submitted these macro pics for the daily #monomad challenge hosted by @monochromes.
