FungiFriday: Young Luminous Porecaps
If you ask me, what is my favorite mushroom? The luminous porecap (Mycena manipularis)—yeah, that's my favorite fungus. I love this mushroom because its pores are bioluminescent. Lately, I often share posts about luminous porecaps. It's just that they are adult mushrooms. I can tell you that luminous porecap is a truly beautiful kind of mushroom.
...and this time I also share the same type of mushroom, but here are young luminous porecaps.
There were so many of them, growing like rows of domed towers on a rotten tree trunk.
If you look closely, the pores of the mushroom are visible on the cap, but they are not yet glowing. It only takes a day for them to become beautiful adult mushrooms.
Happy #FungiFriday🍄

Thanks @mrspointm :)
I am not surprised they are your favourite.
I would love to find glowing mushroom one day...
Thanks @ewkaw. Maybe you will find them when you return to your hometown in Poland. But are mushrooms easier to find in the spring there?
In Portugal probably now is a good time, but I have never seen them here.
In Poland it is too cold now. Summer and autumn is the best time.
Hello dear friend @akukamaruzzaman good afternoon
What a beautiful mushroom, I didn't know it existed.
I hope that one day I can see these mushrooms in person, until now where I live I have never seen them.
Thank you very much for showing us these luminous mushrooms
have a beautiful afternoon
