Should splinterlands remove the condition to play in the wild format?

Greetings friends!

Splinterlands is a great game. However, it has made it compulsory for the players to pay in DEC for playing in the wild format. In wild format old alpha and beta edition cards are used. This is discouraging people to purchase wide format cards and play in that format which resulting in decreasing prices of these cards.
Should splinterlands remove the condition to play in the wild format?
