1.Tanize Suspension bridge/谷瀬の吊り橋/【Driving & Walking】[ENG/JPN]

This article is about the Tanise Suspension Bridge in Nara Prefecture, which I visited last summer.

The subtitle of this article is "Driving & Walking.
I will write about my experience of driving my own car to a little far away from the city and walking around there for a while.

I had something else I wanted to post in 2022 on this theme, but I have not completed the article.
Perhaps I will post a few more after this.

I had heard about the Tanise Suspension Bridge when I was a child and wanted to visit this place once.
Recently, I learned that there are several campgrounds in this area of Nara Prefecture.

Then I found a YouTube camping video that featured the very same Tanise Suspension Bridge.
I wanted to go there and see it with my own eyes.

I watched the YouTube video around 9:00 p.m. and made a reservation for car sharing from there.
The next day, I picked up my car early in the morning and drove 5 hours to Totsukawa Village in Nara Prefecture.

昨年の夏に行った、奈良県の「谷瀬の吊り橋（たにぜのつりばし）」のことを記事にします。

この記事のサブタイトルは「Driving & Walking」です。
自分で車を運転してちょっと遠方まで出掛けて、そこでしばらく歩き回って体験したことを記事にします。

このテーマで2022年に他にも投稿したいものがあったのですが、記事が完成していません。
もしかしたらこの後少しずつ投稿するかもしれません。

谷瀬の吊り橋については子どもの頃に聞かされたことがあり、一度来てみたかった場所です。
最近になってから、奈良県のこのエリアはキャンプ場もいくつかあると知りました。

そんな時、まさにこの谷瀬の吊り橋が登場しているYouTubeのキャンプ動画をみつけたのです。
ぜひ行って、この目で見たくなりました。

YouTubeを見たのは21:00頃で、そこからカーシェアリングの予約を入れました
そして翌日の早朝に車をピックアップして出発し、5時間運転して奈良県十津川村へ行きました。

I was also looking forward to stopping by the diner for a meal.
My goal was to try Mehari Sushi, a local delicacy of the region, at this restaurant.
However, they were sold out of mehari-zushi! As expected of such a popular menu item.

The owner told me that onigiri were still available, so I had a simple onigiri.
A spectacular view of the Tanise Suspension Bridge spreads out before us.

吊り橋の袂に食堂があり、うどんやそばやおにぎりをいただくことができます。
食堂の窓側は、谷に向けてパノラミックにひらけていて、素晴らしい景色を楽しめます。
どうですか、このダイナミックな景色！

私はこの食堂に寄って食事をするのも楽しみでした。
私の目的はこの地方の郷土料理の「めはり寿司」をこの食堂で食べることです。
しかし、めはり寿司は売り切れでした！さすが人気メニュー。

おにぎりならまだあるよ、とお店の方が教えてくれたので、シンプルおにぎりをいただきます。
目の前には谷瀬の吊り橋の絶景が広がっています。

I had a delicious rice ball with two different kinds of pickles on the side.
I also get a cup of cold tea.

Of course I take a few breaks along the way, but after 5 hours of driving I was hungry.
I think it was about 13:00 at this time.
As you can see from the picture, it was a clear day and the sky, the suspension bridge, and the river were incredibly beautiful.
I was almost satisfied just eating a rice ball (laugh).

After this, I will cross the suspension bridge.
If you are afraid of heights, you may not like this kind of pictures. The scenery is beautiful, so just take a look for a moment.

2種類のお漬物が添えてある、美味しいおにぎりをいただきました。
冷たいお茶もいただきます。

もちろん途中で何回か休憩をとっていますが、5時間運転してきたのでお腹が空きました。
この時、確か13:00くらいだったと思います。
写真の通り快晴で、空も吊り橋も川もとてつもなく美しかったです。
おにぎりを食べるだけで満足してしまいそうでした（笑）

この後、吊り橋を渡ります。
高所恐怖症の方は、こういう写真は苦手でしょうか？景色は美しいのでちょっとだけ見てくださいね。
