#Photo-Essay nr Purple / #Purple-essay

Hello hive friends!🤗

Thank you again @hive-14396 for this new exciting round with the color purple as the subject theme. I went through my gallery and I found I don't have that much photos to share since purple is not a very common color to see unlike the red, whites and yellows. One has to be a keen observer to see such color specially from nature.

So, without further a do. Let me show you my parade of purples!💜

First on the parade
The Purple sunset
Let me start with this very breath taking view of the clouds. I snapped this just last month when we were traversing TPLEX (Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union) expressway on our way to Baguio city to visit my son in the University. This is about 150 miles or 241 km from my city. Usually we travel in the late afternoon so we won't have to face the heavy traffic on our ascent up the highlands.
This was really a unique sight to see, a purplish sunset. I was so happy and excited while snapping this photo because it's not everyday you get to see a purple sunset.

Second on the parade
The Purple King's Mantle

No worries guys, I did not pluck this just for fun. Our neighbors were pruning these from their yard because they were already growing like crazy since this is a viney plant it covered a lot of plants in their garden. It climbed up on their trees also on their roof which looked like a jungle already. They were afraid snakes might be the next one hanging or climbing into their house. They borrowed some pruning tools from us, so Hubby and I helped on the clearing that's why I got these flowers and took a photo of them. They are truly magnificently beautiful when cared of properly but if not they become a nuisance already... I told our neighbors jokingly it's not the plants fault that they were growing wildly, they just feel so free... It's the sowers fault.🤪😄

Third in line
The Purple Yam
My husband and I love eating purple yams. Actually it's my husband's signature food. Okay let me clear that out, why it's his signature food. Every Christmas and New year we make these very delicious purple yams and then we give them out to our families and friends as a gift. One time they loved it so much we turned it into a profitable business. But now since we are busy with work we just make them seasonally during special occasions and we give them as gifts. Not an easy food to prepare though, so many processess to undergo before having to eat this delectable dessert. My hubby has loads of patience while prepping the ube or purple yam. From washing them, brushing the dirt out to boiling them, then I call it the peeling with feeling because you have to make sure no root is left on the flesh then he will grate the flesh twice before cooking this. Imagine doing this process for a 20-30 kilos of purple yam! Haha.... You need tons and tons of patience.😍😍

The purple chillies

I was doing my usual weekend marketing at our local farmers market when one of the plant vendors where selling these purple chilli plants. I was really so amazed because it's not everyday you get to see this variety actually it was my first time to see this kind. It is really very uncommon to see purple chillies here in my city, usually it's just the red and the green. I took a snap of the chilli for they were so lovely. I bet they are very hot too! Haha.
Because for me they look so pretty hot! Pretty in purple! ☺️🤩

Fifth on the parade are the
Purple Rice cake

Hmmmm, have you tasted these very delicious rice cakes? We ate these during the baptism or christening of my nephew. Usually these are served during special occasions here in my country. They are so divine plus with cheese on top! Wow! This is perfect with a hot choco or coffee on rainy days too.

Okay so let's proceed to the sixth in line
The purple hydrangeas

Snapped this photo when. We visited Baguio Botanical garden up the highlands during our visit with my son a few weeks back. They have a big array of hydrangeas there with many different variety of colors. This purple one got my attention. Isn't she a beaut?!!😍

The Purple Orchid
These are cattleya orchids, saw these from my friend's garden who collects orchids as her hobby.
This is one of her babies..haha
She is so proud of her orchids that she really takes good care of them. She even talks to them.... Haha
Talk about giving them special attention!😄🤪

Lastly For my finale and definitely not least -
The Purple sunset at our backyard

I started with a beautiful sunset and I wish to end with another awesome Purple sunset. Snapped this just right above our own backyard. You can see in the right side hubby's lit workshop with our yellow scaffolds hanging on the sides.
What an amazing sight would you agree?! So stunningly beautiful! Well, when you see it in person it is really an indescribable feeling.
Gratitude will just flow. Grateful for all the blessings God bestows on me and my family everyday.
Grateful for the sunshine and the rain too. The yin and yang of life.
