I mean if look at every society that lives comfortably, you'll find most of it stagnating, and "inventions" only come in ways to maximize pleasure and reduce "the humane" aspect of our lives.

Yes, it's true, it would be like that. Look, i suspect this also happened with the pandemic that we continue to witness. As if someone in particular such as a group or organization shrouded in mystery - is trying to push humanity towards a certain evolutionary stage (possibly a controlled and predetermined evolution long, long ago) - that would be a simple hypothesis personal.
