This time I will share information about the history of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. This information is an important site relic of the past during the war with the Netherlands and Japan, namely in the form of defense equipment used by soldiers when fighting against the enemy. It is located at the Peuniti Veterans Museum, Kec. Baiturrahman, Banda Aceh City, a province in the western part of Indonesia.

Once upon a time I used to pass that road, to be exact beside Meuligoe, the Governor of Aceh, or better known in the complex of the Tomb of Sultan Iskandar Muda.

It was in this place that once upon a time the Red and White Flag was hoisted between the Acehnese and the Japanese Colonial Soldiers on 24-8-1945.

In this post, I got some photos of the defense equipment that I thought were sophisticated at that time, there were cannons, and several assault machine guns that were still on display. The defense equipment is guarded by a former Veteran man who is still active as a museum guard. He is a resident of Pidie who has lived in that place for twenty years. He devoted decades to museums while working as a stool car driver. He is very friendly. When we got there he smiled kindly, and let me freely take pictures anywhere, "please, just take pictures," he said.

Indonesia is a country with great warriors, where history has recorded that Indonesian fighters have been able to fight against centuries of Dutch colonialism, coupled with Japanese colonization, but the struggle, which was driven by Indonesian independence fighters, was able to crush opponents and enemies of the invaders.

Considering this is important, I photographed various sites of important objects that I think need to be immortalized to serve as educational material for the history of the Aceh Tempo First war. The man spoke to my wife solemnly. I took a photo with my 5 year old daughter Hanum, I think this is an important lesson for her for the future.

Inside the complex there are also various graves of the predecessors, who had fought to defend Aceh. They were the royal officials when Sultan Iskanda Muda held the leadership stick, one of which was the Kandang Meuh Tomb, the Royal Family Tomb and the Sultan's Own Tomb.

He was a king who was once sovereign in his country Bandar Aceh Darussalam, before the Dutch expansion. That weapon was a silent witness when the Aceh war fought against the independence of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

After capturing this photo I was so touched by the martyrs who had liberated this country. Until my heart aches, one day my daughter will be able to pursue her career as a female military officer at the Women's Command. Hopefully. Thank you.
