The journey we began on the 9th of March 2022 as a Weekend event in Hive @music-community has grown to become a full fledged community on Hive with members who are willing and ready to spread the African Vibes and Tunes on Hive.
We appreciate all who have accompanied us during this process of growth: we appreciate the @music-community and her Administrators and moderators, @beatzchain and ReggaeJAHM communities, and our dearly beloved supporters, subscribers and all lovers of African music.
We also remember all who have participated on our weekly event: from the historic first post of @ovey10 who kicked off the event on 11th March 2022 to all who continuously participate in our weekly event. This growth would not be possible without your continuous support.

A MILESTONE ON HIVE: AFRI-TUNES WEEK 10 CONTEST REWARD
In our Post on GETTING READY TO CELEBRATE A MILESTONE ON HIVE? - AFRI-TUNES CONTEST ANNOUNCEMENT we put up a contest and gave the following rules.
☆ Subscribe to Afri-tunes Community,
☆ Compose a hip-hop song (in an African way),
☆ Write out your original composed lyrics in your post,
☆ Express your music by singing or playing an instrument,
☆ Upload Videos via Threespeaks,
☆ Post in Afri-tunes Community,
☆ Use the unique tags of the event

For the contest reward, we said:
The winner will be selected based on the originality of the composition, the arrangement of meaningful lyrics and the presentation of song (vocal or instrument playing).
The winner of the Contest will win the following prices: 5 HBD; 5 LEO - native token of @leofinance and 1000 lvl - native token of @psyberx
The two runner ups will win: 2nd - 2 Hive and 3rd - 2 Hive.
We appreciate all who participated in the Week 10 contest and we are glad to receive much love and support from you all.
THIRD POSITION 🥉
The third place for this contest goes to @magicfingerz on his entry AN AFRO REPRESENTATION OF "GIRLS LIKE YOU" BY MAROON 5 FT CARDI B
@magicfingerz gives an Afro-vibes to the hiphop song, "Girls Like You" by Maroon 5 and Cardi B. A wonderful presentation from @magicfingerz
- He creatively adapted Maroon 5's song in an African way.
- He makes a wonderful presentation.
- He meticulously used the tags of the contest.
SECOND POSITION 🥈
The second place for this contest goes to @draysax on his entry HIP-HOP AFROBEAT FREESTYLE AND IMPROVISATION
Undoubtedly, the professional saxophonist @draysax blew our minds with his Saxophone Improvisation using the Afro-beat - Hip-hop style.
- His Improvisation is unique and original.
- His music is well arranged and superb.
- His presentation is wonderful.
FIRST POSITION AND WINNER OF THE CONTEST 🏆
The first place for this contest goes to @ovey10 in his entry AFRITUNES WE'RE NEVER GOING BACK_HIP-HOP(ORIGINAL)
@ovey10 shows us a tip of his musical creativity. He uses his trombone at the background of his original music and presents a hot rap using meaningful lyrics.
- He composed an original song.
- He arranged a wonderful and meaningful lyrics.
- He presented the music in a wonderful way.
- He was meticulous with applying the necessary tags (sticking to the rules of the contest).
