We are called by God to repent and to live a holy life. Through Baptism we were washed and sanctified. God's intention for us is to do the good works. The word of God that we keep in our heart allow us to do good works.

Holiness, godliness and peace are garment that we should put on in order to please God. We should be sober and be vigilant of our arch enemy which is Satan.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

It is clear that Man will die someday, after which comes judgement. No man can escape judgement. And the one to give the judgement is God and there is an appointed time for it.
Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

1 Corinthians 5:13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Some pretend to be angels of light and ministers of righteousness which they are not. There will come a time when a man will wish to die but will not be able to, this shows that it is God who permits death.
Revelation 9:6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

There are first and second death. The first death is the death of the body(the physical death), while the second death is meant for those that refuse to accept God while on earth they will be killed by God in eternal damnation in lake of fire. The casting into the lake of fire is the second death.
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Even Satan the father of lie will die through the second death because that is the punishment at the end. The second death cannot be escaped for those who disobey God's commandment.

When a man die, your spirit being will go to the Father in heaven for judgement, because physically death cannot separate you and your God. God is not the God of the dead.

God also kills but God doesn't murder it is in God's power to kill and make alive. If a man kills another man(a righteous man) here on earth, he did such person a favor because he will be dead physically while he lives eternally with God.
Deuteronomy 32:39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

There is an appointed death for man and it is God that appointed it, so when a man die, we try to remind ourselves that there is God and of course there is judgement after death. If God does not allow the death of a man, any man or devil cannot touch such person.

When it comes to the people of God, God will protect his own people, those following his ways and obeying his commandment. If God can protect the sparrow and watches over them, then how much more people of God created after his own likeness.
Psalms 127:1 Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

God allow the righteous to be killed for the sorrow to come
Isaiah 57:1 The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come .

Human can only kill the body, more reason why we should not fear human but we should fear God who can kill both the body and the soul. So until the end of our lives we should fear God.
Luke 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
