YouTube Is Now Pretty Much A Cable Chanel

Gone are they days of the cat videos. Gone are the days of independent media. Gone are the days when you could create content and make a break without the need for a corporate 3rd party.

According to analysis done by David Packman, YouTube is now a corporate media company. They are actively reducing the views on independent media (especially political content) and promoting establishment and corporate media channels on their platform.

They've created a scenario whereby people are now mostly watching the same thing they get on Cable TV; BBC, CNN, FOX, MTV, and so on.

YouTube is 'Cable Over Internet'

What are the principles that are driving the behaviours? The mainstream empire builders always want to control and limit people within their own boundaries so that they can be more certain of outcomes - with particular reference to outcomes that relate to government. E.g. You don't need to be seen to be censoring one particular political group - you can get away with censoring all political groups but pointing people to lamestream who are well versed in appearing to be diverse but actually only ever covering approved topics/narratives. It really is centralisation vs decentralisation or 'david vs. goliath'. The difference, though, is that there isn't just one 'david' - there are billions of 'david ants' - way more than can be controlled. We just need to stop being good self controlling ants. ;)

Hmm great point.

I remember when I first realised I was no longer watching TV a few years ago and decided to get rid of the actual TV so I could cut the BBC tax. There were 2-3 years of peace where I (believed to be) picking my own media and what I consumed. All of a sudden I realised I was back to watching the same thing again. haha. My phone is now my TV 😭😭

This is really an indiscriminate actions taken by Youtube cutting down the number of people who join Youtube. I do not really know the rationale behind all that Youtube is doing, however, I believe is not the best practice, since freedom of speech and association should allowed if not any criminal offense being committed by the person. Thank you very much for the quality video shared here in 3speak!

YouTube doesn't care about "free speech". It's really non of their business. They care about money. That's the rationale. :)

YEs it is very true ... YoutTube is new Cable Chanel. And I see this also ... every time I try look for something ( INFO ) then i always get the same results, i always have to look several times to break through this chain, that I can find something new.
But I'm sure soon this also end fast... if all start go out then they not soon work more. I've seen many times in the last three years how people are going to look for something new pages, where they can put videos up and earn.

It was definitely going to become these way in my opinion people are Still mainly or YouTube because they've worked hard to build a large audience and even when one can't simply hit it anymore by simply doing a video on how to train a cat to poo people will be forced to change the original intended content they bring to suit YouTube system of Cable and television and whatnot. It's really terrible these days with YouTube.

@adetorrent, Yes, it will not be wrong if we call YouTube as cable channel because now in my opinion YouTube trying to throw away the raw essence particular related to the Truth. And pushing general people towards Entertainment Industry more and more and definitely in my opinion in future we will going to see more slaves.

Have a wonderful time ahead and stay blessed.

Did you ever watch that Veritasium's Video about how YT's algorithms work?

It proves that it is not about the little independent guy anymore as it is impossible to monetise a channel unless you got to extraordinary lengths to follow the algorithms
