Crash Diet - Keto Burger
Crash Diet
Si, señoras y señores, I have indeed been on a keto diet. For those of you that don't know what that is, it's pretty much a low carb diet. It means I haven't been eating white carbs mainly, such as rice, pasta and potatoes, but also highly refined or processed foods. It's been quite efficient actually since I've managed to drop about half of the target weight so far.
What it means is that I have to make a lot of things from scratch, including these very nice burger buns which are made of almond flour instead of the traditional wheat flour. Somewhere deep in on blog is a post I wrote about how bread has been perfected over millennia, so the recipe is hard to beat. These buns are as good as they can be, in my opinion, without wheat or corn flour.
I think I've finally perfected them actually. The first few attempts were not so nice. Sometimes they'd look good but taste terrible. I think I've found the sweet spot between looks and taste haha.
Anyhow, they are perfect for a quick meal when you don't have the time to start making other stuff from scratch. They keep for about a week before starting to taste funny, so you can make then in batches and freeze them for longevity.
This image above was the situation on Wednesday while watching the markets respond to the Fed meeting announcement in the United States. It was funny how the market initially rallied, and even looked as though headed for a parabolic recovery, before then crashing down in double digits. It just goes to show that emotional trading is the worst possible strategy when it comes to crypto and the stock market. The good old, slow and steady, dollar cost averaging and HODLing wins again.
Peace & Love,
Adé
Since you now have a preference, l think sticking to your taste is great. Thanks for sharing and happy weekend sir.
Have a great weekend my friend
How long have you been on Keto? I have done Keto in the past and you lose weight like crazy, but I felt it wasn't for the long run.
The buns look great!
Since the 2nd of Jan. Yeah, its works very well, maybe too well, which is why it's not a long term thing like you said. Once I hit my target, I'll just maintain it with a "sensible" diet haha and exercise. Also, I do resistance training now so I don't lose muscle in the process. That'd be bad :D
hunker down ;)
