Question

Statistically, women tend to be more spiritual than men. From whatever faith — Protestant, Catholic, Muslim, Buddhist, Wiccan, or other — how did it become your faith? What delights, insights, and joys have you discovered?

Hey there my fellow ladies of Hive, My name is Adaopara. I was introduced to hive something in 2021. I didn't start to take hive as seriously until just recently, this is actually my first post in this community. Therefore at the end of this write up, I would give a little introduction about myself.

Growing up we were devout Catholic in my family, my parents were known in the church because my father is a Knight and my mother is an Usher, but that just my family background. My relationship with God is personal, I personally choose God. You may ask why?

Well in every society women are seen to be more religious than men, when we look at a book written by a professor in the university of Oxford he said,"That in every religion women are seen to be more dedicated than men". Some people attribute this quality to the woman's care giving character and her willingness to dedicate to the cause. But some people also argue due to the basics of which being religious can be classified. Is a religious person, and a person that goes to church or religious activities at the same time.

I believe in God because I have seen what God can do first hand. In the year of 2016, my home was robbed by a group of armed men, they forced their way into our house and made away with what they wanted. One of the thieves got into an argument with my dad about where he kept the money. My father was trying to explain that he had no money at home. The thief pulled a gun on him and threatened to shoot. I said a silent prayer as I closed my eyes, my heart was beating in my chest as I couldn't believe that my father was about to be taken for me. I prayed for God to save my father and in return I would serve him for the rest of my life and in that instance a fellow thief stopped the one that puĺl a gun at my dad and convinced them to just take what they wanted and leave the family alone. So that is why I believe in God, he chose to save my father. That's why I kept on choosing him.
