The beautiful old red dress.

A respectful greeting to this beautiful fashionista community, lovers of fabrics, accessories, and the pleasant way of communicating their personalities through their tastes when it comes to dressing.

I wanted to tell you that something quite unusual happened to me with a red dress that survives in my wardrobe almost exactly 8 years ago, and perhaps, you might think that at this point in time it is old, out of fashion,or is bored that rolling between coat rack and coat rack negatively with no hope of getting out of there one day, nevertheless, the problem was never his, but mine.

I was never a dress girl, there were only two or three that I had to wear out of obligation to be godmother at a wedding, a fifteenth party, and some other bombastic event. My figure didn't help much either, I'm only 1.50 meters tall, my limbs they are short, and the length of my neck was a little restricted by inheritance... so, let's say: I don't have a spectacular figure to show off in a dress.

At least, that's what I always thought.

So, I adore the comfort of generally wearing tight jeans, sports lycra, and lots of sneakers... All of that is/was the best of outfits.

I'm not going to fool you either, I loved heels, but several toes and free falls to the ground dictated that I had to adjust the height of my shoes.
I was a fan of high heels, they give a distinctive and beautiful touch to your personality, right?

What was he up to? True, the red dress!

Well yes, it happens that in a few days I have another event of those in which etiquette forces you to be outside your comfort zone, and I was going through the closet to design the clothes for each day (that stresses me out), but marvellously, I found a red cotton dress with preciuos flowers and butterflies on the edge of its skirt that took me by surprise as if it were the first time it was in front of me.

I remember exactly that the girl who sold it to me convinced me that it was a bargain for its price, and that in addition, the design fit my measurements perfectly, and that she even gave it to me in installments if I couldn't pay the price all at once.

The truth is that she knew how to do her thing as a salesperson, but I really did it more out of pity for her than out of the interest of wearing that excessively red and "delicately" feminine dress, because I look more phenomenal in jeans...😂

It's not like the dress is that big of a deal, but it caught my attention so much this time that I decided to try it on - because I already have a different perception of myself with dresses - and then I loved it.

After putting on my dress didn't care much about having short legs, a jicotea neck, and my chubby little arms...I loved the idea of going with him to the end of the world, and turning and turning with my flowers on my skirt - like we girls did. - and feel happy feeling the softness of all that fabric caressing against my skin.

So, I changed over time I suppose, because putting on a dress meant seeing myself vulnerable, half naked, or exposed to criticism that right now seems as silly and ridiculous to me as a little bee absurdly resisting being fed with sweet honey.

Apologies for the photos, the photographer participated reluctantly but convinced that my old red dress looked very pretty on me...😁

Always very grateful for your reading.

Thank you, ☺️
The dress is really nice, I'm not very good at modeling, but I was still happy to do it, one of those things that feel liberating and extroverted...you don't have to be a top model to feel good about yourself...right?
Thanks for your time..

I think you've taken that little girl out of the box, not the dress. And that's good!

Well, after so long in the dark the dress deserves a chance, so I'll take it with me and maybe it can earn some compliments....

I'm sure it will be one of the safest outfits I can choose for that occasion...😉

Thanks @galenkp
