Street Art - Painted Sidewalk Hedge
Hello lovely Hiveans !
Today I have an entry for the Street Art Community and their Street Art Contest .. This time it is about some pillars and separators that were set-up and are used to separate the sidewalk from a major street in the city of Bern. These were painted in a very beautiful way .. I hope you like it ^^
Painted Sidewalk Hedge !
A few days ago we had to go to Bern, as we had an appointment in the children's hospital. Our little son suffers from some hip problems and therefore needs spreader pants and the specialist is operating there. We did not see much of the city that day, but while we walked there from the main station, we came by a 30 meter long separator that was build between the sidewalk and the main street. Someone by the artist name of SMOENOVA painted it completely in such a way, that it looks like a long hedge now, which is really well done. If you are interested in this german artist, you can find his website HERE .. He is actually doing some really cool Street Art, and worth a look 👍
There were several motives sprayed on the pillars and the separator wall and I like to show you some of them here. The first motives show some passengers, which look super fitting for this is place. One is a guy in a suit, that looks like a business man, a common appearance for a big city like Bern. The other one is a woman, who walks along the sidewalk, watching at her mobile phone instead of the way in front of her. I really like this one, as those "Smombies" are a coming sight nowadays. I would have loved to see her stepping in a pile of dog poo as a result of her distraction 🤣
The next two motives also quite interesting. The first one shows a mother with her child. It appeared that they are on her way to cross the street. This is actually a bit confusing, as this way they are directly running against the bush. This was probably a bit unlucky by the artist ^^ The other one shows an elder man that trims the hedge with a cutter. The motive is located at the end of the whole Art, so the only possible conclusion is, that he just finished the whole work on the overall hedge ^^
At the beginning of the whole hedge, there is a girl with binoculars. It looks like she is hunting some feathered friends and there is also a bird hidden directly in front of her ! .. I therefore looked up the whole Art to find some other birds and was able to picture some. There were also a few more, but I keep showing only those here. In the motive of the mother with her child there is actually a raven too ^^
I really like this long Art, It is well painted and definitely enriched the otherwise boring appearance of the place by its colourful motive that nicely combines nature and city dwellers in a creative way ;)
All pictures were taken by myself, ©@adalger, with a Xiaomi Redmi Mobile Phone at some Pillars and Separators at a sidewalk in Bern, Switzerland in March 2022.

Wonderful images, great work on the photos! 😎
Yes, the artist did a great job indeed. I am only showing a few motives here, but the real work was far more impressive. Especially as the whole hedge was quite long and looked super refreshing in the environment ^^
Cool works. I love the dog 😀. Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.
