Traveling through Nigerian road is the highest risk one can take.
Risk is part of life. In fact to me, anyone not ready to take risk has no place here. Why do I need to say such? Yes. Because life itself is full of risk. Waking up in the morning to take a cab to another location is a very big risk. Yet, if we don't take the risk we won't do anything in life. Welcome to this weeks edition. I am very happy to have you around.
I just came back from a journey and to tell you the fact, the road is full of risk. I kept praying from the beginning of the journey till we got to our destination. That was even for the first day. The journey was smooth for that day and we reached our destination without having much difficulty apart from the Nigerian bad road that makes the journey longer than it should. When I see the drive trying to overtake another driver I will just be pipping to be sure that there will be no problem. Hahahaha 🤣. At times I will be encouraging myself to be calming down. But it wasn't that easy for me. It wasn't easy for me because every body in my family is in that car. Don't put all your eggs in one basket, but we did and I had no choice. We wanted to go home together after a very long time.
COMING FACE YO FACE WITH DANGER IN THE HIGH WAY.
After all the celebration of Easter at home we decided to take another journey back home. This particular one was very very scary. I was very scared. The journey started on a very bad mood because the driver that was sopposed to come back and pick us disappointed us. We have been communicating him after he left us in the village the following day to come back to the North. We did not sense any problem. But my husband kept saying that he is not sure that this driver was going to come back to carry us. Each time he said it I will just wave and say to myself, I know he will surely come back. But I was wrong. Two days to the day we agreed to move back my husband called him and that was when he said that his car had problem and because of that he won't come back to carry us. So that was how we started looking for another driver and you know how things like that can be? Personally I was just happy about the whole thing.
The image is mine.
We started the journey by 8:30 am and we are sopposed to get home by 4- 5 pm because of the abd road. But the journey took another turn. Our car developed a very serious problem in a bushy area where some people were kidnapped days back. When we heard that it becomes a problem for us. The driver also left to go and get a mechanic and he wasn't not coming back as we expected. That added the fear. At first we thought he has been kidnapped. So, we quickly took the next available car to the nearby town to wait for the driver pending when the car will be fixed because the place where the car got spoiled look somehow lonely and anything can happen there without people noticing it.
The car took longer than expected to get fixed. To cut the long story short, that journey took the whole day. We finally got home but 11 pm. Thanks to be God for his mercies for that journey.
There is no place that is as risky as the Nigerian road. So many bad things happen to people everyday. When you travel the road and get home safely, you need to go for Thanksgiving.
Yes it can be very dangerous on a journey, always best to be prepared!
I am grateful that you returned safely and all worked out. Today is a good day :D
Nigerian roads can be terrible and you did well to get to a safe place first. Kidnapping cases can be scary and should not be taken with levity. Thank God for keeping us safe always

Nigerian roads are terrible. Each time I ply one, I am always praying for a successful journey. The fear of accident the fear of kidnappers, etc.
