Mis discos seguirán a tu lado || Poema 🇪🇸 🇬🇧

cover.jpg

No estás solo, hijo mío,
te esperamos en la eternidad,
junto a tu madre y tu esposa,

English Version

My records will remain by your side

cover.jpg

Months go by and no phone call
sweetens the weight of my days.

My children went to America,
to earn money and flourish their lives.

They promised me a better life,
for them and my grandchildren.

My wife passed away years ago,
but seeing them at home made up for my emptiness.

They have free will to decide their steps,
and peace accompanies me because I gave them love.

I wish them happiness and may they achieve their dreams,
but something never reached their ears.

I turned down well-paid offers abroad,
because my greatest happiness was to have them with me.

Amidst the loneliness that now embraces my surroundings,
I dust off my father's gramophone,
and I feel his voice galloping in my conscience.

They may abandon you,
or perhaps it will be too late to see you,
but my records will remain by your side,
to soothe your soul with my music.

You are not alone, my son,
we wait for you in eternity,
with your mother and your wife,
to share the love we always had for each other.

Months pass by and no phone call comes my way
sweetening the weight of my days.

My children went to America
to earn money and thrive in their lives.

They promised me a better life,

My wife passed away years ago,
but seeing them at home filled my void.
