Cuba's 5-cent coins stage a Christmas pageant
Today, December 25, 2024, Christmas Day, is a date we celebrate with family, friends and loved ones. A special time of the year where memories, happiness and even tears are condensed, to embrace our thoughts to those loved ones who have already departed to Eternity.
Throughout these days, and following mipiano's initiative to show in this community, everything related to how we embellish our homes, with cards, ornaments and everything that springs from our imagination to enrich the Christmas atmosphere, we have enjoyed a cocktail of attractive and interesting posts.
Although it never crossed my mind that this theme could be crystallized in this corner dedicated to the collection, it has been something fabulous and full of color and designs.
Giving free rein to my mind, I want to show you my Cuban 5 centavos coins, but giving them participation in this beautiful Christmas Day.
But before we get into the subject, let's talk about them. These round Cuban coins were made of copper and nickel.
On their obverse they show the Coat of Arms of Cuba, and on their reverse, their value in Roman numerals in the center of a 5-pointed star with its legend underneath.
It was minted in 1915 in Philadelphia, United States, passing through several mints over the years.
Over the years, I have been able to collect a large number of them, which I keep in a small bamboo box.
Today I intend them to enhance this day and fulfill a creative function.
As you can see in the initial photo, I planted a mauve flower in the center of a coin garden. Color that vibrates with that spiritual essence that reigns in every link of life.
I wish a Merry Christmas to all those people who make it possible for this Hive network to grow every day, and that gives us the possibility to offer our contribution to the personal development and vision of the project.
I give you these small Christmas trees, so that the brightness of their coins may be the light and strength that will make you walk the path of our existence, learning from the experiences of everyday life.
Its triangular shape with vertex upwards, represents the spiritual side that rises to eternity. Its wide base, its trunk and roots, the current journey on earth with its moments of polarity and contrasts.
As a last photo, I wanted to recreate a Christmas atmosphere in a rural village, where that donkey represents the animals of the area that move and feed freely, the church for the inhabitants to congregate, and the little houses of each farmer that despite living far from the urban cities, live in harmony, happiness, and on dates like today, know how to enjoy to the fullest, the simplest details of life.
Friends, I hope you are having a beautiful day. Thanks for reading.

You Absolutely Rockkk!!!! 👍😎🔥🎄🎅⛄❤️
Gracias amigo.

Very original what you have done with your coins. It is a pity that they have lost their value for what they were created for. But you have given them meaning and beauty. Nice post.
I wish you Merry Christmas.☃️🎄
Right. Coins that have no practical monetary value, but that today have been protagonists to make those Christmas trees that represent a beautiful date; to be able to congratulate everyone, and wish lots of light to #Hive in the New Year. Thank you for writing. Merry Christmas
You brought Christmas with this collection of Cuban coins to Hive, so nice idea. 😌
Thank you!
It was an idea that crossed my mind and I was able to shape it to resemble a Christmas tree. All to continue contributing to an interesting initiative that started in Spain, and a way to congratulate the Hivers. Greetings
Beautiful collection, very well preserved, and its idea of emulating Christmas through them is very creative. Merry christmas @abrunet
I hope you are having a nice Christmas. I thought of showing these coins, but enhancing with them a special date, and congratulating everyone with this post. Thanks for commenting
