The Hive Engagement League
This league is not based around financial rewards and relates to engagement on the Hive blockchain.
Everyone currently on my master list has a chance here, including those powering down or dealing in delegations over the past couple of weeks. Only the top 100 scores are shown.
The score is made up from a simple formula which uses the following types of engagement:
- Posts (P)
- Comments (C)
- Number of people spoken to (PS)
- Comments outside of own posts (CO)
- Unique Author posts (UA)
- Comments - replies to replies - depth > 2 (CR)
- Comments - length in characters (CL)
- Up-votes to others (V)
- Up-votes to different authors (UV)
- Self-votes - No minus score but no bonus HIVE (SV)

It's possible to do it using only comments, but it's genuinely hard work. It's possible to be top-heavy on the post side, but then engagement can drop a bit. Best is to strike a balance. Balance eludes me, but if you can strike that balance you win over the long-term, and so does Hive. Keep it going!

I have been busy and posted a post every day, I will see if I can keep up the pace. But I really enjoy the engagement part of the journey. I made so many new connections and my feed fills with interesting content to read every day.

You are right there, I dont think I could take the pressure of trying to stay up top! When I first started here I was a mental commenter and I remember how much time it took!
I just comment and see how next week goes, hehehe I know it took some work to get all the way up there.

Wow, thank you Traci. It has been a while since I've been on the engagement league for various IRL reasons, although I haven't stopped posting on hive.
Sometimes you have to prioritize your time when things get real, and I nearly lost IRL writing commissions that pay my rent because I was spending too much time on hive and other crypto projects. Something had to give, and unfortunately, on hive, it was the amount of commenting I did.
Things have become a little freer for me now so hopefully will show up in the top 50 more often for a while at least 🙂
