Get A Real Job (Rant)
(Edited)
This is a rant. If you are a YouTuber, Streamer, Blogger, Artist, Freelance artist etc
some folks don't think those are 'real jobs'
they don't understand if it weren't for those 'non-real jobs'
you wouldn't have art, music, YouTube content, etc to enjoy when you can.
If those content creators, streamers etc got 'real jobs' you would not have as much content
to enjoy. Although there are plenty of creators who have a day job but
find it hard to make time for YouTube, therefore you will see less and less of them.
Why can't we just accept how someone makes their money as long as its
legal.

Electronic-terrorism, voice to skull and neuro monitoring on Hive and Steem. You can ignore this, but your going to wish you didnt soon. This is happening whether you believe it or not. https://ecency.com/fyrstikken/@fairandbalanced/i-am-the-only-motherfucker-on-the-internet-pointing-to-a-direct-source-for-voice-to-skull-electronic-terrorism
Oh my God my boss is going to be so pissed when I found out how much I've been screwing around on here...
Holy cow no wonder I get those flags. Lol
Gotta go fast
I might as well just have fun with life and enjoy it to the maximum.
yeah, you should.
Yep everyday is amazing day for me and my puppy dog
You make some great points. People are brainwashed. I just had this conversation with a family member. They couldn't understand that some people make money working online.
Content creation can be a real job. Staking altcoins can be a real job. Gaming on Splinterlands can be a real job. Blogging on HIVE can be a real job.
Combine all these income streams and some people do pretty well. Those are just a few examples.
People were brought up with the 9-5 mentality. On top of that, many people don't realize that when you start working the "Online hustle" where you're working online 24/7 you may be working more than a traditional 9-5 worker.
I hate when people say I don't work a real job. When chances are I'm working more and harder than they do. This brings with it a certain amount of freedom too though.
I've done all kinds of online work. I basically work 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The great thing about this, I work for myself. I take a break when I want. I spend time with friends and family when I want. I can vacation when I want and work from wherever I want. Although the work is hard, the freedom of being my own boss is something I really wouldn't want to change for anything.
yeah, you work more hours with editing, research, etc. However, the income adds up and you see yourself making more than you would on a traditional job. the average American works 40 hours and still needs EBT and other assistance because the pay is too low. Also, the COVID was a major wake-up call that those jobs aren't as safe as we thought. While those jobs vanished, Hive, Steemit, YouTube, Twitch, my WordPress blog all still survived the job purge.
Like you said you can take a break whenever you want. If you go on vacation, you can blog about it here (I did that when I went down south both times)
small world I was trying to get my mom to understand this while you had the same convo with your family member.
Oh... I'm seeing the difference already. Talking about the sound. It's out of the world. Wowwww.
I studied Banking and Finance and what people with my CV earn over here is barely $200 per month.
I don't earn that much here, but I can grow over time and earn X5 of it.
Nothing is easy, but I want to also grow my skill. The editing part is very important.
If I may ask, which App do you use for video editing? I downloaded VIVA VIDEO for editing
I use Adobe Premiere Pro for editing. I use Audacity to enhance the sound. This video was done recently and the wisdom teeth surgery video was from 2019. I vlogged with my phone in the 2019 vlog and for this video, I used a Blue Snowball Ice.
Funny I just did a rant about my experience with Walmart pushing us to use self checkout.
I agree with you but up to a point. Yes things are changing and it is awesome that some people can make a career of YT. My son's friend started his channel when I did. All his videos are about claw machines. He has 2 MILLION subs now. But not everyone will make it. I didnt, but I still enjoy it. It to me is like becoming a famous actor, singer or sports athlete. Many Boomers dont get it. Bill Maher was just poking fun at us. I think he sums up the view of many Boomers. You may or may not want to see his side. All I know is everyone of us is different and we all have to play the hand we have been dealt.
Speaking of Walmart, I saw somewhere Walmart may put in all self-checkout lanes I think either last year or late 2019. The 5 Below I go to has all self-checkouts
