Hotel Living: West Memphis, AR|| Travel Vlog

Hotel living vlog. It's been a while since my last travel vlog. The last one was in the spring of last year. This time, my mom had her class reunion ( I traveled with her to her last reunion before COVID).

My mom took the fam with her. Luckily, my grandma got a new car last year, so we have transportation covered. We didn't have to rent a car or anything.

I drove on the freeway/highway for the first time. I wasn't used to the country roads being in the city. In the country, when you see a gas station,  the next one is 20 miles away.

When I arrived at the hotel, I was impressed with how nice it was. It had a bar/restaurant in the lobby, that covers your food if you don't have a car.

The lobby also had snacks. Our room had a microwave and a mini fridge. If you ordered takeout, you can heat it.  The lobby also had those pizzas you cook in the microwave.

The hotel had free breakfast. Breakfast was taken care of. However, it was way too early. It ended at 9 am, I thought it would be over by 10. I'm not a morning person

The first night I saw the Hunter's supermoon, nice, big, and bright. I had a perfect view.

The stay turned out to be boring. I was under the impression we'd be going out since my mom had me pack nice clothes. I didn't find out no one wanted to go out until I arrived.

My mom was too busy with her reunion to take us anywhere. I thought my grandma would call her friend. She has a friend in the town we stayed in, or in Memphis.

I would have gone to my grandmother's house, she's too obsessed with my weight which is triggering my eating disorder.  I just don't have the frame society accepts which is being a size 2.

I have a sister I never met. I didn't ask if she could see me because I thought we'd be out and about.  No one told me we'd be stuck at the hotel otherwise.

The pool was outdoors, it wasn't heated, therefore the water was too cool to swim in. You'd probably freeze your toes off.  It warmed up a few days before I left, I was able to sit by the pool. I couldn't go in the water.

The hotel had a little gym. I got a workout in. Mingled in the lobby, and got some air. Had I known no one wanted to go out, I would have downloaded  The Sims on my PC before leaving.  Travel gaming would have been a twist for the video.

I sat by the pool at night because there's something I enjoy about nighttime swims or chilling by the pool at night.

Ordered takeout or food at the hotel joint since my folks wanted to be stuck at the hotel the entire time.

Maybe when my mom doesn't have a special occasion, we can return to the south and do something.

On the way back, I got to see one last country sunset

I enjoy seeing the country sunsets,  the country doesn't have streetlights on every corner like the city, perhaps this makes the sunsets look so much better.

Fall sunsets aren't so bad after all. I prefer summer sunsets.

The trip wasn't what I expected, but at least I got out of the house, I got to do something different, staying at a nice hotel for one.

Having slightly better wifi than when I'm with my grandmother.

This had been another travel blog/vlog. Hopefully, I'll be back for more.
