Opening a passage to Jotunheim.

I never thought Baldur would turn out to be the main antagonist of this game cause I always thought I'd have to fight Thor someday as I killed two of his sons. But it turned out that Baldur was the main antagonist for this installment though I don't know how many tough protagonists I might have to handle in Ragnarök a Freya already became my enemy and there's someone else that'll talk about later. This time, I'm going to show how we opened a passage to Jotunheim.

That's what happened in my last post and I'm leaving the photos above just to let you know what happened before.

Freya was in so much rage that she was saying that she'll rain down every agony, every violation imaginable, upon on Kratos. She'll parade his cold body from every corner of every realm and feed his soul to the vilest filth in Hel and she promised this.

Atreus stood for Kratos and said he saved her life but Freya replied that he robbed her of everything. Freya was then mentioning Kratos as an animal and Kratos said she didn't know him. Freya replied that she knew enough and asked if Atreus does.

Then Kratos decided to let Atreus know what he didn't yet. He said that he's made a deal with someone that cost him his soul. He killed many who were deserving and many who were not. And he added that he killed his father.

Atreus asked if this is how it always ends? like sons killing their mothers, their fathers. Kratos replied in negative and said they'll be how they choose to be, not those who've been. The father taught the son that they must be better and Freya left them taking the body of Baldur. And they're up to get to Jotunheim now.

The chapter "Jotunheim in Reach" ends with that and we probably reached the last chapter of this game that's called "Mother's Ashes" where we needed to return to the Realm Travel Room.

Before going to the realm travel room, Atreus was saying that saving her was the right thing but she seemed all evil at the end. Mimir replied that its not about being evil, its about losing her son as the death of a child is not something a parent gets over easily.

Kratos added that she'd have died to see her son live and that only a parent can understand. Then Atreus asked if he'd (Atreus) let him kill him (Kratos) for such reason and Kratos replied, "If it meant you would live... yes".

We returned to the realm travel room using the mystique door and after reaching the travel room, I didn't wait to try opening the portal to Jotunheim. We couldn't do it before cause Mimir had one eye missing but now he has both eyes and he should be able to open the door to Jotunheim now.

When the realm portal was trying to do its work, Atreus ran towards that light carrying the head of Mimir and then he first let Mimir accumulate the light in his eyes.

Then the kid did hold Mimir's head in a way so he can use his eyes towards the light to open it and after a while, Mimir stopped sending lights.

It looked like the door magically opened and reached the stairs to Jotunheim directly without any other passages like it happens for other realms. Well, we came this close once before as well when Baldur came and messed it up. Do you think we really can get to Jotunheim this time?

We'll check what happens next in another post.

I'll try to talk about more special moments soon from my play in God of War or maybe from other games.

Peace.

Awesome chapter my friend, the captures are amazing and really Atreus took the truth from his father with a lot of maturity, this kid is amazing, thanks for sharing.

There was a time when I got angry with the character of Atreus but he's a lot matured now. Thanks for the feedback.
