An Adventure to Chinghan Waterfall

It was our last day in college, and knowing we would all soon part ways to our respective towns after graduation inspired us to embark on this adventure of visiting the Chinghan waterfall.

The Chinghan waterfall was the clearest and most beautiful in Ching town. My friends and I had never explored it before, but this time, we were determined to experience its thrills and capture some lasting memories. I bought a camera specifically for this trip, excited to witness the waterfall firsthand after hearing so many captivating stories about it.

There were four of us who set out on this journey, whistling as we trudged up the hill toward the waterfall. Eager to see it from its source, we chose the path that led upwards, offering us the chance to admire it from above.

“I'm exhausted,” Tracy confessed, coming to a stop. “Me too,” the others chimed in, and I simply shrugged. They were definitely slowing me down. Glancing at my watch, I realized we had already been walking for 25 minutes, and the locals had mentioned it would take around thirty minutes.

“We're just five minutes away, guys. Seeing the water will wash away all your exhaustion,” I encouraged them, but they wouldn't buy it as they all stretched out and sat on the ground, breathing heavily as if they had just run a marathon. Nonetheless, a thirty-minute hike up a steep hill was certainly worth being called a marathon.

After resting and enjoying wild fruits we found in the nearby bushes, we resumed our journey. The path was flanked by beautiful flowers and towering trees. As we progressed, the thunderous roar of the water crashing down grew louder. I smiled and raised my camera, ready to capture the moment, when suddenly a large bird appeared in the sky.

“Duck down, Frida, that's an eagle,” Alice warned. They were ahead of me because I had lingered behind to snap shots of the trees, birds, and some wildflowers.

My heart skipped a beat as I crouched down, feeling the rush of wind as the eagle flapped heavily over me.

“I'm definitely getting my money back from those men cause why didn't they say anything about this,” I cried in anguish.

“I see the waterfall!” Mira shouted from further ahead, having hurried to avoid the eagle. It was magnificent; although I couldn't fully take it in because my adrenaline kicked in rather too fast and I found myself flat on the ground, my love flashing before my eyes.

Slowly, I looked up, ensuring the eagle was gone before getting back on my feet. “You'd make a tasty snack,?” Alice teased and the others laughed. Ignoring her, I walked past them, and soon the waterfall came fully into view.

Crystal clear water cascaded down with a hypnotic sound, surrounded by rocks that glistened like gems. The water felt icy cold as I dipped my feet in it. Glancing at my friends' faces, I could tell they were thrilled. On the other side, where the water streamed down into a river. There were other visitors who snapped photos. It was a breathtaking scene.

“Hold my camera, Mira.” “What for?” She looked puzzled. “You're going to capture the moment I go over the waterfall.” “You're going over?” She asked, surprised, and I nodded.

“I'm joining you,” Alice declared. “Cool,” I replied as we stripped down, ready for our daring dive.

“Cameras rolling,” Mira announced as Alice and I prepared for the plunge of a lifetime. The spectators across the stream cheered us on as we took the leap. It was the most exhilarating moment as we hit the water, creating a big splash. And yes, Alice managed to capture an incredible shot.
